Stories in progress

This section is devoted to parts of stories I have written but haven't got to the section where I can fit them in, so I am going to put them here so not only you get a sneak preview, but I know where they all are and aren't floating around on random pieces of paper!

5 Years Before

The girl has long, flowing blond hair, swept off her face in a silky curly pony tail. Her features stood out strongly, she has seen this face before, five years before to be exact, an exact replica of her mother. The shadows on her face reflected the terrors of her part. She carefully looked into the gleaming mirror; her reflection stares back at her. Shock was written on her face like a pen scratching ink on paper.
Summer, was older now. She was now 24. And fatherless. And Motherless.
Katy killed herself from grief of the loss of her husband. Silence pulsed around the room. The voice of a man broke the tension like a knife,
"Ready my sweetheart?" Summer's fiances Father stood tall in front of her. He had agreed to give her away.
"I'll never be ready" She said sadly. Nothing would be the same without her own father to give her away or her own mother to pick out a dress or cry when she watched her daughter, now bride-to-be, walk on the golden carpet to a new lease of life.
It tugged at the fragile strings that held her shattered heart together. She loved Callum, he loved her. If he could he would give her everything and more. But his love just wasn't the same as what her parents could have given. No matter how many people loved her, it would never come close to the feeling you get when your mother kisses your forehead in bed at night or your father dances with you at your wedding after giving you away and making a speech full of the craziest things you did as a child but can't remember. They can. They will always remember.
"There is always a piece to a jigsaw that is missing, but as long as you know what you want the picture to be, it will give you hope to find a new piece to fit it" Mr Seymore's words pierced Summers' heart. She breathed deeply then turned to face him,
"So let's get me in this dress"

Lost and Found

"Your an ungrateful little brat!" Spit flew from his mouth as he yelled at me. I cowered. My back pressed against the wall and I knew I couldn't go any further. I had no escape, I was trapped.
"You are a lazy, selfish and inconsiderate. Look at me when I'm talking to you!" Then I said the unthinkable... I didn't mean to, it just slipped out...
"It's your fault Mum's dead" I said it quietly but loud enough for him to hear every word. Every letter peeling off my tounge. It felt like time froze. For a fraction of a second I thought I saw fear or hopelessness in his eye... then it was gone.

He hit me. A sharp blow with a fist around my head. It knocked me to the floor. I screamed.
